They are SUPER packed with pigment and wear very long at around eight hours without migrating, transferring, or feathering however, they are a drier lipstick formula so that should be taken into consideration if you’re not much of a matte lover. You do have to be careful with these as you wanna apply them on smooth, softened lips so exfoliating prior and using a lip balm will help them look their very best. This a classic creamy matte finish with a fairly dry formula. Alter Ego Lipstick launched for Summer 2014 and was promoted as a highly pigmented, long wearing lipstick with Vitamins C and E for hydration.

To go along with your lipgloss Lorac has included ten full size Alter Ego Lipsticks in this set that can be paired up with the matching Alter Ego Lipgloss shade or worn alone. Not to mention how much I love trying seven brand new shades in this set. They are by far my favorite item in this set. I love how moist they remain through the wear and how nicely hydrating they leave my lips. They give my lips a nice full, pouty finish with excellent color payment that isn’t sheer in the least and a wear time of at least three to four hours without migrating, feathering, or drying out. These glosses have a soft, plush formula with a glossy gel-like texture that feels quite hydrating on my lips without being sticky, tacky, or heavy. I find the name slightly misleading since Lorac Alter Ego Lipsticks are matte where as their glosses are not. These are formulated with a soft vanilla fragrance and contain antioxidants such as Acai Berry, Pomegranate, Grape Seed Extract, and Vitamins C and E. Lorac introduced their Alter Ego Lipgloss for lorac summer 2015 and it remains one of my favorite gloss formulas from the brand.

Plus let’s not forget the affordable price tag versus some vaults that are going for $200 and upwards right now! This is one reason I like the Lorac 20th Anniversary Alter Ego Lip Collection as they really did a great job of creating not only new shades for us to try but also packaging them extra special. I think there are quite a few Holiday Makeup and Beauty Vaults this year to crave but many contain a rehash of products you might already own plus nothing in the way of special about the packaging. The lipsticks have a Lorac embossing on the sides and also have Carol Shaw’s signature located on the inside tube.
